How to Save Career Wins by Email With Career Memory

Learn how Career Memory saves small work moments from your verified sign-in email and turns them into interview seeds and self-review bullets.

The hardest part of an interview story or performance review is often not the writing. It is remembering the evidence months after the work happened.

Career Memory gives your personal Revarta account a private Story Inbox. Email a small work moment while it is still fresh. Revarta saves the source, identifies the facts it can support from your message, and replies in the same thread with something useful immediately.

What should I send?

Send a few honest lines about one specific moment:

  • a result or win;
  • a difficult decision;
  • feedback you received;
  • a problem you diagnosed;
  • a conflict or tradeoff you handled;
  • a mistake, recovery, or lesson; or
  • a metric that shows what changed.

You do not need to write a polished story. Try to include what was happening, what you personally did, and what changed. If one of those details is missing, Revarta may ask one focused question in its reply.

What do I get back?

After a useful message, the Career Receipt can include:

  • the evidence Revarta saved from your email;
  • an interview-story seed;
  • a performance-review or self-assessment bullet; and
  • at most one question that would materially strengthen the evidence.

The first useful email creates value. You do not need to complete a streak or wait for several messages before receiving an artifact.

An interview seed is not a finished STAR story. It is a grounded starting point that removes the blank page. When the evidence includes enough context, personal action, and result, the item becomes Ready to build. You can then open it in Story Builder to develop and practice the full answer.

How does the evidence improve over time?

Reply to the same email thread when you remember another useful detail. A later reply might add the exact metric, clarify what you owned, identify a difficult constraint, or capture feedback from a stakeholder. Revarta uses the additional source to update the item and sends a Proof Upgrade showing what became stronger.

Your original messages and the facts supported by them remain visible in the Career Memory workspace. Revarta should not add a result, number, or action that you did not provide.

How does this help with interviews?

Career Memory captures the raw material before you are job searching. Story Builder uses that material later to help you shape a clear Situation, Action, and Result, choose the right example for a question, and practice saying it aloud. The coach can focus on the missing detail instead of asking you to reconstruct the whole experience from memory.

How does this help with performance reviews?

Each useful capture can produce a concise self-review bullet while the work and impact are still fresh. Over a review period, those bullets become a record of contributions you can select and organize. Career Memory does not write a complete annual review in this version; it gives you evidence-backed material so you are not starting from an empty page.

Which sender can I use?

For privacy, Career Memory accepts email only from the current verified sign-in email for your personal Revarta account. You cannot add a separate work address or secondary sender.

If you forward text from another message, send the forward from your verified sign-in address. Remove confidential, regulated, customer, employee, security, or company-sensitive details that you are not permitted to share with Revarta. Attachments are not fetched or stored, so place the useful facts in the message body.

What controls do I have?

In Career Memory, you can:

  • inspect the email text and supported facts Revarta saved;
  • see the interview seed, review bullet, and readiness state;
  • delete one saved email or the entire evidence item;
  • pause new email capture and scheduled prompts without deleting your evidence;
  • rotate the private Story Inbox address so the old address stops working.

If you delete a source email, facts supported only by that email are removed and affected derived artifacts are cleared until they can be rebuilt from remaining evidence. A story you already created remains available.

This control removes Revarta's saved Career Memory copy and derived evidence. The inbound email provider processes the original message and may retain its copy under its own retention policy. A privacy or account-deletion request also applies through Revarta's downstream-processor deletion process.

What counts as progress?

A useful reply that adds evidence completes a rep. Opening or clicking an email does not. Career Memory may send one weekday prompt in your local morning and one later reminder, evaluated six hours after the prompt. If that moment falls before 8:00 a.m. or from 8:00 p.m. onward in your local timezone, it waits until the next 8:00 a.m. send window. You can also send a spontaneous capture at any time.

Every seventh completed rep produces a portfolio recap, but every useful capture returns its own receipt. You can pause the inbox whenever the cadence is not helpful. Recurring prompts, reminders, and recaps also follow your Revarta product-email preference; replies to messages you send still return their direct Career Receipt.
