I've gotten jobs before without special prep. Why do I need this now?
The market has fundamentally changed. Then: resumes were differentiators, technical skills were enough, screening calls were formalities. Now: AI has made every resume equally polished—they all read the same. 60-70% of candidates are eliminated at screening because they can't articulate value verbally. Companies focus on behavioral interviews from the first call. The bar is higher, competition is fiercer, jobs are scarcer. What worked before won't work now.
